The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to amend the agenda to conduct a public hearing as advertised and to continue discussion with Jim Bullock regarding the emergency command vehicle. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Bensley seconded by Stock to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to approve a claim for weed and brush spraying in Joint Drainage District 274, Sac and Buena Vista Counties, submitted by B and W Brush Control. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the County Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.

Lisa Bethune, Sac County CPC, met with the Board to discuss the Mental Health re-design proposals. No action was taken.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to direct the Chairman to sign the CPC’s preliminary estimated cost report. Ayes all, motion carried.

Jim Bullock, Sac County EMA Coordinator, suggested a decal for the emergency command vehicle at a cost of $194.00 and submitted a list of portable generators and the prices.

The Board approved the decal design and suggested discussing it with the Sheriff and then directed Mr. Bullock to purchase a Ramsond 3500 kw generator with digital inverter contact voltage at a cost of $800.00.

At 11:00, as advertised, the Chairman opened the public hearing to vacate a section of 170th Street between Sections 4 and 9, Eden Township. There was one landowner present and a representative from Schaller Telephone Company. The County Engineer shared a letter submitted by Mary Cole, apparently objecting to the closing of the bridge.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to close the public hearing. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to table any action until a later date. Ayes all, motion carried.

The Engineer updated the Board on the activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects and construction on Highway 20 as it pertains to secondary roads.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve a D.O.T. budget amendment to agree with the amended local budget. Ayes all, motion carried.

With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
