The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to approve the Sheriff’s Quarterly report for the quarter
ending June 30, 2009. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve the appropriation for the EMA / E 911 for fiscal
year 2009/10, which was omitted from the appropriations approved last week. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve a grant application submitted by Sandy Aschinger
for a Victims Of Crime Act grant in the amount of $16,608. Ayes all, motion carried. This grant will be matched with $4,152
of local money with Sac and Calhoun Counties contributing equal amounts.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current
maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to award a contract to Ten Point Construction Company of
Denison, Iowa, who submitted the low bid of $171,706.28 for PCC pavement patching (L-PCCP10—73-81). Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to renew a one-year contract with Calhoun County to share
the services of the county engineer. Ayes all, motion carried.
