The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Dean Stock, Chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to amend the agenda to consider an appointment to the Region XII Housing Authority.
Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve an application for a tile crossing in the right of way adjacent
to Section 18, Wheeler Twp. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve the Quarterly report submitted by The Sac County Sheriff
for the quarter ending September 30, 2008. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve the appointment of Frank Strain to the Region XII Regional Housing
Authority. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office.
Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve the drainage claims as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on the activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance
and construction projects.
At 10:30 am, Allen Hilker, Supervisor from Ida County joined the supervisors and, on motion by Bensley and second by Hecht,
the joint boards went into closed session to conduct interviews for the position of Sac and Ida County CPC. Ayes Bensley, Hecht,
Hilker and Stock; nays none, motion carried.
At 1:45 pm, it was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to go out of closed session. Ayes Bensley, Hecht, Hilker
and Stock; nays none, motion carried.
Supervisor Hilker will review the applicants’ interviews with the other Ida County Supervisors and the two boards will continue
the process next week.
