The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, Chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Dawn Villhauer-Murley, Sac County CPC, discussed an education proposal submitted by the Howard Center, Inc.
The proposal requested $4,000 to develop brochures and preparing a weekly newsletter in the local newspapers. No action was taken.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve the 2007 annual Case Management cost report, which included
a cost of $196.73 per unit per month. Ayes all, motion carried.
Ivan Droesler, Engineer with Kuehl and Payer, Inc. presented and reviewed plans and specifications for the 2007 storm
damage repairs to the Main Open Ditch and Lateral B of Drainage District 81.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to accept the Engineer’s plans and specifications for repairs and to set
a date for the bid letting on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at 10:30 am. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on the activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance
and construction projects.
There was some discussion on placing deer crossing signs on County Road M 68 and contacting the Iowa DOT to request
signage at the intersection of US Highway 20 and County Road M 68.
