The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to amend the agenda to discuss additional equipment for the County Recorder’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to direct the Chairman to sign the administrative agreements for the flexible benefits plan between Sac County and Wellmark Blue Cross – Blue Shield. Ayes all, motion carried.

John Torbert, Executive Director of the Iowa Drainage Districts Association, was present to discuss with the Board the changing environmental problems as applied to current farming practices and Iowa drainage laws.

Ivan Droessler, Drainage Engineer with Kuehl and Payer, submitted the reclassification report for joint drainage districts 19 and 26 for filing. It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to tentatively accept the reclassification report for DD 19 and 26, and call for a public hearing for Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at 1:30 PM in the Sac County Law Enforcement Center Conference Room. Ayes all, motion carried. Also included in the motion was to direct legal counsel to prepare notices for the public hearing.

The County engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current construction and maintenance projects. There was some brief discussion on the purchase of a new truck for secondary roads. No action was taken.

Nancy Auen, Sac County Recorder, presented some information regarding passport photos as a service which could be provided by the County Recorder’s office in addition to the passport applications. Based on the information provided by the County Recorder, it was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to approve the expenditure of $1519.00 for a camera and equipment for passport photos. Ayes all, motion carried.
