The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Dean Stock, Chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to re-appoint Ron Feilmeier to the Sac County Veteran’s Affairs
Commission for a three year term. Ayes all, motion carried.
Lisa Phillips presented a list of outstanding checks issued between 1988 and 2004 by the Motor Vehicle Department
totaling $403.25 and requested the board to cancel those checks and deposit the funds to the General Fund.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve canceling the outstanding checks issued by the
Motor Vehicle Department. Ayes all, motion carried. It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to adopt
County Resolution #05-0628 approving the ballot language for a Local Option Sales and Service Tax election and
specifying the purposes for the revenue to be used 50% for Capital Improvements, Capital Equipment, Infrastructure,
Debt Reduction, and any other Lawful Purpose of the County as determined by the Sac County Board of Supervisors;
and 50% to Property Tax Relief. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in
the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve the drainage claims as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve a drainage repair to DD 181 in Section 1 of Cedar Twp.,
Pocahontas County for $600.00 Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve a drainage repair to DD 181 in Section 33 of Cedar Twp.,
Pocahontas County for $2200.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve a drainage repair to DD 195-51, Branch 7 in
Calhoun County for $750.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to not contribute to the mutual protection fund of the
Iowa Drainage District Association for 05-06. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer was not present at the board meeting but delivered via email the update of the county
road crews and the status of current construction and maintenance projects.
