The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Dean Stock, Chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to amend the agenda to consider an appointment to the local
board of health and to discuss mental health issues with the CPC. Ayes all, motion carried.
Chris Whitaker of Region XII Council of Governments, presented an update proposal to the county’s pre-disaster
mitigation plan. Some corrections were discussed and applied to the document.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to adopt a resolution (05-0125) adopting the Sac County
Pre-disaster Mitigation Plan as corrected. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve the list of Sac County residents on the
Condemnation Compensation Commission in eminent domain proceedings, pursuant to Iowa Code Section 6B.4, and to
supply the list to the Chief judge of this judicial district and to the Iowa Dept. of Transportation. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to re-appoint Pat Laursen to the Sac County Board of Health. Ayes all, motion carried.
Dawn Villhauer-Murley, Sac County CPC, offered discussion on a proposed budget for fiscal year 2005-06 which
includes $466,268 in tax revenue and $1,254,650 in total expenditures. These numbers will be part of the county’s budget
to be discussed at the public hearing March 8, 2005, at 10:30 AM. No action was taken at this time.
The board presented a counter proposal to the secondary roads bargaining unit representative for contract renewal.
No action was taken. No date for negotiations was set.
The engineer updated the board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current construction and maintenance projects.
