The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Dean Stock, Chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve a renewal license for on-premise liquor, wine or
beer sales with Sunday sales privilege submitted by Cindy Lawler, DBA Carnarvon Inn. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to accept a proposal submitted by the Teamsters Union
Local 650 suggesting a 3% wage increase effective July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006. Ayes all, motion carried. The
Teamsters Union Local 650 represents the Sheriff’s deputies, jailers and dispatchers.
Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Brouwer escorted a prisoner of the Sac County jail to the board room where he addressed
the Board of Supervisors concerning several grievances he had filed.
Scott Myott, who is serving jail time in the Sac County jail, had filed several grievances against the Sheriff
and the jail administrator for not allowing certain people to visit him in jail, for not having a phone available to contact his
attorney and for not maintaining the shower in the men’s holding unit. The Board will consider the facts and take the
matters under advisement.
The engineer updated the board on activities of the county road crews and the status of the current maintenance
and construction projects.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve an application for a 6” tile crossing between
Sections 26 and 27, Viola Twp. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
