The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, Chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to amend the agenda to include appointment of a mental
health advocate. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to direct the Chairman to sign the HIPAA business associate
agreement for Wellmark self-funded flexible spending accounts. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to accept the resignation of William Johnson,
Chief Radio Operator effective May 14, 2004. Ayes all, motion carried. The Board noted, with appreciation, Mr. Johnson’s
longevity and dedication to his job.
The board continued discussion on the position of drainage clerk. It was moved by Stock and seconded by
Bensley to post a notice offering the position of drainage clerk to anyone currently employed by Sac County, subject to
the approval of the county attorney. Ayes all, motion carried.
The county engineer updated the board, via fax message, of the activities of the county road crews and
advised the board that repairs to the railroad crossing in Wall Lake will begin on May 17, 2004.
