The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jack Bensley, Chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office.
Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve the transfers of $21765.00 from General Basic fund to
Secondary Road fund and $215,124.25 from Rural Basic fund to Secondary Road fund for the fourth quarterly transfer. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve a budget adjustment of $11,000 from Public Safety service area to
Interprogram Services service area. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the
Sac County Board of Supervisors and the Iowa Department of Public Health to provide Sac County with financial assistance to
address water quality issues. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to amend the agenda to consider an agreement with Howard Center, Inc.
and abatement of taxes on certain properties. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve an agreement between Sac County and Howard Center, Inc.
whereby Howard Center, Inc provides outpatient psychotherapy, evaluation services, emergency services, and psychiatric consultation
to individuals with legal settlement of Sac County on an outpatient and need basis for an annual fee of $110,976.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to abate the taxes on the following properties: Lot 4 and the South 13’of
Bowery Street, Block 40 of Beck, Guy and Platt’s Addition to Sac City in the amount of $4.00; Lot 3 and the South 13’ of Bowery Street,
Block 40 of Beck, Guy and Platt’s Addition to Sac City in the amount of $4.00; Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 21, Original Town of Sac City
in the amount of $62.00; Lot 6 of railroad Right of Way in Lytton in the amount of $11.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
Ron Haden, County Engineer, updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current projects and maintenance.
The Board was given a copy of an agreement between Calhoun County and the City of Lytton for maintenance and repair of
county roads within the city limits.
There was some discussion about the transfer of highways 36 and 243 from the State of Iowa to Sac County and the
City of Lake View.
