The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jack Bensley, chairman, presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted. At 10:00, as advertised, the Board opened the public hearing
on the proposed budget for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2002. The budget proposal includes a levy of $3.50000 in General Basic,
$1.16333 in General Supplemental, $0.72687 in Mental Health, $0.04520 in Debt Service, and $2.50809 in Rural Basic. Total tax
askings equal $3,653,402 compared to total expenditures of $8,944,448. There was no one from the general public to support
or oppose the proposed budget. It was moved by Kroeger to close the public hearing on the budget proposal. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Kroeger to approve the budget proposal as submitted for fiscal year 2002 – 2003.
Ayes all, motion carried. It was moved by Kroeger and seconded by Hecht to approve a Class C and Sunday Sales liquor permit
application submitted by Sac County Golf and Country Club. Ayes all, motion carried. The Board noted a public hearing date
set for April 16, 2002, for the Sac / Ida Mental Health Plan. Notices of the public hearing will be published pursuant to Code.
