The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jack Bensley, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted. Supervisor – elect Dean Stock was also present. Shirley Phillips presented a recommendation from the Sac County SETD Board, acting as the special projects advisory board, on a funding application from the City of Odebolt. The City of Odebolt is in the phase II of a community center project and are requesting county funding of $5000 over a five year period to comply with the Vision Iowa funding requirements of local support. It was moved by Kroeger and seconded by Hecht to approve and endorse the application for Community Attraction and Tourism Grant Funding and to allocate $1000 per year for a period of five years beginning with fiscal year 2003. Ayes all, motion carried. The Board requested that the City of Odebolt submit a request each fiscal year for the funds. It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Kroeger to call for a public hearing to amend the current budget on Tuesday, January 7, 2003. The main purpose of the amendment is to reallocate funds from one service area to another to comply with GASB 34 requirements. Ayes all, motion carried.
