Sac County Recorder’s Office now offers passport pictures.
Two photos are $10.00. (Dark clothing is preferred). Due to large volume of
applications at the passport center, the timeliness has changed from 25
business days to 12 to 16 weeks from date of application. It is recommended
that you apply early. If it is necessary to expedite your application (which
takes from 2 to 4 weeks to process) the cost is $92.50 in addition to the
$97.00 regular passport fee.

Our office will be glad to assist you in completing the necessary paperwork in
obtaining your passport. If you are 15 years or age or under, the cost of
a passport is $82, and is good for 5 years. If you are 16 years of age or
over, the cost is $97 and is good for 10 years. Exceptions to expiration
dates would be where they are limited by the Secretary of State to a shorter
period.
